But does it spark joy?

I think Marie Kondo was really onto something. Hear me out.

Our surroundings have a profound impact on our mental and emotional state. A cluttered and disorganized space can cause stress, anxiety, and a sense of being overwhelmed. On the other hand, a home filled with items that spark joy can have a transformative effect on our overall well-being. When we surround ourselves with things we love, we create an atmosphere of positivity and contentment. Each item in our living space becomes a reflection of our values, aspirations, and personal style.

Personally, I love books, art and hand bags. As a result, I have a lot – like a lot, a lot – of these items in my home. I’ve prioritized and made room for these collections by removing things that I feel meh about. If I’m not excited by it, I don’t want it.

So how do we create spaces that spark joy? By curating our living spaces intentionally. Surround yourself with joy-inducing items, let go of what no longer serves you, and curate your space with love. A joyful home is a sanctuary that nurtures well-being and allows you to thrive. So let go, curate, and discover the peace and fulfillment that a joyful home brings; the outcome is worth every bit of effort.
